Sunday afternoon saw our Ladies Essex League team taking on Aldersbrook 2. Playing in surprisingly warm conditions after Saturday’s chilly Dallimer cup, our team put on an impressive display, finally defeating the opposition by 8 sets to nil, meaning the team gained the full 10 points. Despite this convincing victory, each pair, consisting of Lucy Grey and Helen Smith, and Eilis Dowers and Sophia Pooler, had to perform some excellent play in order to defeat a competent Aldersbrook team. It was an exciting and enjoyable match to watch played in a competitive, yet friendly atmosphere.
